Quiet,
by design.
AURA started because nothing on the market was honest about what your body was actually doing. Most wearables shout. We wanted one that listened.
Five years, 23 sensor revisions, and one obsession with precision later — AURA is the ring we wanted to wear ourselves.
Five years, told
in five moments.
- 2021
First sensor prototype
Twelve LEDs, one breadboard, a soldering iron that mostly worked. The first usable heart-rate trace was 89 BPM in a coffee shop.
- 2022
Custom silicon taped out
Skipped commodity wearable chips. Designed the 4 mm² module from scratch with a partner foundry in Hsinchu.
- 2023
Closed beta · 200 wearers
Surgeons, ultra-runners, new parents, two pilots. 47 things broke. 46 got fixed. One became a feature.
- 2024
Sleep model validated
Two independent labs found AURA matched polysomnography (the gold standard) within 4% across 800 nights.
- 2025
Public pre-orders open
Hardware finalized. App rewritten in the open. First 1,000 rings ship in 14 days.
Three things we
refuse to compromise.
Precision
Anything we report has to be defensible to a clinician. If the data is fuzzy, we say so.
Calm
No streaks, no badges, no notifications you did not ask for. The ring earns the room, not the foreground.
Honesty
We do not sell data, dramatize numbers, or stretch what the sensors can actually measure.
The rest is in
your hands.
Reserve a ring. Wear it for thirty days. Decide for yourself whether quiet beats loud.
